1909-10:
In a
season full of successes, the Barcelona earns the Championship of Catalonia
(without losing a point), the Eastern Pyrenees Cup (an international
competition among Basque teams, Catalan and southern France) and for the first
time, the title of Champion of Spain. In the final in Madrid, the Spanish of
Madrid beats 3-2, still losing 0-2 at halftime. Players are greeted warmly in
Barcelona.
The 14 October
1909 Gamper leaves the presidency in the hands of Otto Gmelin but still
attached to the Club treasurer.
The Barcelona
increasingly less foreign players and on the board so only two: Gamper and
Witty.
1910-1911:
Gamper
returns to the presidency on September 17, 1910 The club has about 400 members
and begin to emerge early issues of professionalism in the players.
Another
win in the Championship of Catalonia, where Barcelona is unrivaled, and another
win in the Pyrenees Cup.
In
the King's Cup, held in Bilbao, Barcelona retires after winning Gymnastic
Madrid 4-0. The losers challenged the party and ordered a repeat federation

The

With
new signings to strengthen the team, the Barcelona earns the Championship of
Spain for the second time in its history. Also awarded the Pyrenees Cup, but
lost the Championship of Catalonia against Espanyol. With this team a serious
confrontation occurs and relationships break first.
1912-1913:
The
Barcelona leaves the Catalan Federation and founded the Catalan Association of
Clubs.
Victory
in the Championship of Catalonia and for the fourth consecutive year in the
Pyrenees Cup.
In
the Spanish Federation cleavage also occurs. The Barcelona became part of the
Spanish Football Clubs Union, which organizes the tournament Cup. Thing wins
Barcelona, beating in the final in three exciting games at the Royal Society
of San Sebastián. After drawing two and zero in the first two games, Barcelona
wins 2-1 in the third.
Gamper,

1913 to 1914:
A
year without a title in the sport balance.
The
directive calls for the first time an English professional team, Notts County,
playing three games in Barcelona. Win the first two (0-2 and 0-4) and the
Catalan press says they are "unable" to make more than five goals
against Barcelona. On June 7, 1914 the last game is played and in five minutes
the Catalans 3-0 lie. But Notts County start playing "real" and in

year without sport successes.
Immersed

scorer for the first time.
1915-1916:
After
two years without titles, Barcelona imposed again in the Catalan Championship,

In
the Championship of Spain, with the first friction Madrid, where he played
forward Santiago Bernabeu. Barcelona wins by 1-2, but in the second game, also

1916-1917:
Two
