Andres
Iniesta Barca and Ivan Rakitic, with Jorge Resurrection 'Koke' have been
nominated for the prize 'Best Midfielder Attack of La Liga 2013-14', whose
winner will be announced at a gala to be held on 27 October.
Iniesta, who
won the previous edition of the award by winning Isco Alarcón and Jesus Navas,
becomes nominee after a season with FC Barcelona in which he racked up three
goals and seven assists in 35 games in La Liga. Another current Barca player,
Ivan Rakitic, will one of his rivals. The Croatian starred in a memorable
season with Sevilla shirt, making twelve goals and ten assists in 34 league
matches.
Meanwhile,
Koke was one of the architects of Atletico Madrid who won the title 18 years
later. His impact on the game box Diego Pablo Simeone was vital, contributing
six goals and twelve assists in 36 games.
